Weinberg College's 2017 Convocation will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m at Ryan Field, 1501 Central Street, Evanston.

Friday, June 16: Reception with the Dean

5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.—Dean Adrian Randolph invites Weinberg College graduating seniors and their families to the College Graduation Reception in the Grand Tent on the Lakefront (just south of Kellogg's Global Hub). Tickets are not required, but seniors should RSVP via the email invitation that will be sent to their Northwestern email addresses.

Saturday, June 17: Convocation Ceremony

10:30 a.m.—Ryan Field gates open to guests of graduating seniors. Graduates begin to line up at Trienens Hall adjacent to Ryan Field in full graduation attire (caps and gowns). See Information for Graduates for more on processional details.

11:20 a.m.—Graduates' procession from Trienens Hall into Ryan Field begins.

11:30 a.m.—Ceremony begins. After several introductory speeches, students will be individually congratulated by the Dean and faculty from their major department on stage. Students will be seated by their majors.

1:30 p.m.—Ceremony concludes.

1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.—Students return to Trienens Hall to return rental gowns.

Viewing options

Ryan Field seating: No tickets are required for Convocation. There is no limit on the number of guests that can be invited. Guests in wheelchairs may be accompanied by one companion in designated seating sections.

Remote viewing via computer: A live stream of Convocation will be available online Saturday, June 17, so that those who cannot attend the event can view the entire ceremony from their computers. Please see the Convocation live stream page.

Alternative on-campus viewing (air-conditioned): A live stream of Convocation will also be available in the Technological Institute, room L160 which is air-conditioned space. Guests who are heat-sensitive are encouraged to watch the simulcast of the ceremony in this air-conditioned space. Closed captioning will be available on TV monitors.
