First-Year Students

Welcome to Weinberg College! As a first-year student, you have a lot of choices to make and tasks to accomplish. Some of those tasks -- taking relevant placement exams, for example, and using the results to identify classes you're likely to take this fall -- need to be completed over the summer. Others, such as deciding on a major, are less urgent and will involve on-going conversations with your freshman adviser (who is usually the instructor of your freshman seminar) and your other professors. There are no mysteries, however. This website, and the websites of every Weinberg department, are geared to getting you the information you need to make decisions and chart your way forward.
