Using the PlanIt Purple Calendar

PlanIt Purple is Northwestern University’s web-based calendar. It serves as a central database for events throughout the Northwestern community. Posting your events to PlanIt Purple will help ensure that your events are publicized as widely as possible and will reduce the likelihood of event scheduling conflicts.

For more information, please see the Weinberg-designed tutorial covering basic PlanIt Purple Calendar functions (to download: PC users, right-click on link and select "Save Link As ..."; Mac users, control-click on link and select "Save Link As...").

University Relations maintains PlanIt Purple help resources online. Please submit a support request if you have questions about getting started or would like help learning about the PlanIt Purple calendar.

Weinberg's main web site has a College events calendar that is automatically generated from the PlanIt Purple database. The Kaplan Humanities Institute web site has a similar calendar for humanities events. Individual departments can also put automated feeds of their events onto their web site (for an example, see the "Calendar of Current Events" box on the Psychology Department's home page). Please submit a support request If you would like to generate an events feed for your department/program web site using the PlanIt Purple database.
