You should not purchase Microsoft Office with a new computer.  Weinberg IT maintains a Microsoft Office (Windows and Mac) license agreement for all faculty/staff of the College, and the software is included in the Weinberg IT Software Image.

What if I have special requirements not listed above?

If your research needs require special hardware, please consult your Weinberg IT support person prior to purchase.

Purchases of servers and research computing clusters should involve discussions with the Dean's Office concerning specialized equipment, space, power, and HVAC.

All standards will be reviewed at least twice per year.
