Share the Northwestern Narrative

Presentation materials are available to help faculty and staff present the Northwestern story to external audiences

In response to frequent requests for easily accessed tools that communicate key facts about Northwestern University, the Office of Global Marketing and Communications has developed an assortment of materials designed for use at events — speaking engagements, recruiting events, fundraising trips and the like — where audiences are either not familiar with Northwestern or need a refresher on the University’s accomplishments, reach and spirit.

The tools include short videos circling around the University’s “AND is in our DNA” narrative, an inspirational video emphasizing Northwestern’s global presence narrated by University President Morton Schapiro, and one 12-minute video providing a more expansive view of some the University’s achievements and programs.

The package also features a customizable presentation deck highlighting Northwestern's global reach and impact, including rankings, key partnerships, programs, awards, faculty research and more, as well as country-specific slides that spotlight Northwestern’s programs, partners and presence in countries such as China, Hong Kong and Japan.

“We want to help people share the Northwestern narrative consistently and effectively, and we hope these tools provide high-level information in a polished package that is convenient for faculty and administrators to access and use,” says Martin Wilson, director of creative production for Global Marketing and Communications.

The materials, accessible with a NetID through Northwestern Box, currently live on Northwestern’s International Relations website, but will soon exist on the University’s Global Marketing website as well.
