Mac OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion" is fully supported

Weinberg faculty and staff,

I am pleased to report that Weinberg IT has found no major compatibility issues with Mac OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion" and software applications used within Weinberg College and at Northwestern, and we now fully support Mountain Lion on all compatible Apple desktop and laptop computers.

If you would like to schedule an upgrade of your Mac desktop or laptop to Mountain Lion, please submit a service request and we will coordinate the upgrade with you. Whenever possible, we will use remote upgrade tools to complete the upgrade outside business hours and minimize the amount of time your computer and files are unavailable. Please note that we will schedule upgrades through the end of August; we will then resume upgrades after the start of the academic year (starting in mid-October).

While many standard applications, including those in the Weinberg image, are compatible with Mountain Lion, some software may not yet be compatible. Please contact Weinberg IT with any questions about particular software titles you use before scheduling an upgrade.
