Reserve Your Tickets for Weinberg College Convocation 
  • Round 2 Ticket Ordering is still open and if you know that you have additional guests who will attend you may order up to 2 additional tickets via the Graduation Ticket Portal
  • Each graduate is responsible for ordering tickets for their guests. Please do not reserve additional tickets unless you need them. You may request additional tickets via the waitlist at the Graduation Ticket Portal. Waitlist tickets are fulfilled based on venue capacity and are not guaranteed. 
  • The deadline to order tickets is April 29. If you do not order tickets by April 29, tickets are not guaranteed. 
  • If any of your guests' plans have changed and they can no longer attend, please email the Graduation Office with the name of the ceremony and the number of tickets that you would like to return. The office will be able to share them with someone else.
  • All ticket ordering will end April 29, but graduates will continue to have access to the system to distribute their claimed tickets to guests or request additional tickets through the waitlist.  
  • Beginning April 29, any unreserved tickets will be added to the waitlist pool for distribution.
  • All seats are general admission.  
  • Children under 3 years old who will sit on a caregiver?s lap do not need a ticket; all other guests need a ticket.
Convocation Name Card
  • Submit your Name Card and confirm your participation via MarchingOrder by Monday, May 13, to ensure your name is pronounced and displayed as you prefer on the Jumbotron at Convocation.
  • When you arrive at Convocation on June 8, you will receive your printed Name Card at check-in. You will carry your Name Card to the stage where your name will be read aloud and displayed on the Jumbotron. 
See Your Face on the Big Screen at Convocation! 
  • You can be a part of the show at Convocation! Submit your favorite photos highlighting some of the great experiences you've had at Northwestern!  
  • Upload photos when you submit your name card or email your photos to wcas-events@northwestern.edu.  Submission of photos grants Weinberg College permission to use them in other digital and print communications. 
Order Regalia 
  • All graduates must wear caps and gowns and regalia orders must be placed online by May 10

In some cases, for a variety of reasons, students may not be planning to graduate this June. It is important to understand that receipt of this letter does not imply confirmation of your eligibility to graduate.

To Weinberg College Graduates:

I am delighted to extend my congratulations to you on your upcoming graduation from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

Weinberg College Convocation will take place on Saturday, June 8 beginning at 3 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena. At this ceremony, each graduate will be called to the stage to be congratulated individually.

As shared in February by the Graduation Office, each student will be allotted up to a total of 6 tickets over two ticketing rounds for the Weinberg College Convocation ceremony on June 8. Note that these tickets are separate from the tickets you are allotted for the University’s Commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 9.

Ticketing will be held in two rounds:
  • February 26 – March 25: graduates may reserve up to 4 tickets
  • March 26 – April 29: graduate may reserve up to 2 additional tickets (and waitlist requests open)
  • April 30 – June 6: Waitlist requests are fulfilled based on venue capacity (waitlist requests are not guaranteed)
The Weinberg College Graduation reception will take place on Friday, June 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the Lakefront Tent. All students and their guests are invited to join me for food, drinks, and a toast to the graduates. More information, including RSVP details, will be sent in April.

Ticketing Information

  • Each student will be allotted up to a total of 6 tickets over two ticketing rounds for the Weinberg College Convocation ceremony on Saturday, June 8. Note that these tickets are separate from the 6 tickets you are allotted for the University’s Commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 9. Each graduate is responsible for ordering tickets for their guests. Please note the following:
    • To log into the Convocation ticket portal, visit https://www.northwestern.edu/graduation/students/tickets.html
    • Ticketing will be held in two rounds:
    • February 26 – March 25: graduates may reserve up to 4 tickets
    • March 26 – April 29: graduate may reserve up to 2 additional tickets (and waitlist requests open)
    • April 30 – June 6: Waitlist requests are fulfilled based on venue capacity (waitlist requests are not guaranteed)
  • If students order only the number of tickets they plan to use, more waitlist tickets will be available to those who have larger parties.
  • All ticket ordering will end April 29, but graduates will continue to have access to the system to distribute their claimed tickets to guests or request additional tickets through the waitlist.
  • Beginning April 29, any unreserved tickets will be added to the waitlist pool for distribution.
  • All seats are general admission.
  • Children under 3 years old who will sit on a caregiver’s lap do not need a ticket; all other guests need a ticket.


General Convocation Information
  • All graduates must wear caps and gowns and regalia orders must be placed online by May 10.
  • Graduates will be given a diploma cover as they cross the stage. No diplomas will be available on June 8. Diplomas will be mailed in August to the graduate's permanent address as it is listed in CAESAR. Please check CAESAR to ensure your permanent address is correct.
  • A professional photographer will take several pictures as each graduate crosses the stage. Proofs will be posted online within 48 hours of Convocation. This service enables parents to have professional photographs of their graduate's special moments while remaining seated to enjoy the ceremony.
  • A live stream of Convocation will be available on Saturday, June 8. Those who cannot attend the event will be able to view the entire ceremony online. There will be a link on the Weinberg College homepage directing you to the live stream on Convocation day.
