Careers in Science Outside of Medicine

Six alumni spoke with a full house of students in Pancoe Auditorium early in January 2020.

Students gathered in Pancoe Auditorium on Thursday, January 16th to hear from six alumni who work in science related careers outside of medicine. Many students at Northwestern who are studying sciences go onto pursue medicine, but not all students majoring in a science will go to medical school. We heard from alumni in the fields of pharmaceuticals, finance, technology, health insurance, public health, and genetics. The spoke about how they use their background in science in their work everyday. They showed students that there are a number of different things they can do with their careers after studying a science in the Weinberg College.
