What did you do with your Arts and Sciences degree?

The paths that Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences graduates take through life are varied and often unexpected. Rebecca Kimitch remembers how excited she felt as a child when Time and Newsweek magazines arrived at her front door.

“I couldn’t wait to read them,” she remembers.

Paul Checcia seemed destined to become a doctor.

The son of a pediatrician and an adult cardiologist, the Chicago native entered Northwestern in the fall of 1985 with pre-med on his mind.

Being among the first to voluntarily desegregate the public schools in Oklahoma City prepared Paula Pretlow to do many things.

It prepared her to compete with white classmates from more affluent backgrounds at Northwestern in the 1970s.
